Preschool:  An Introduction to School

At this stage in your child's life they are beginning to form ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create.  In preschool we focus on academics and social and emotional guidance that helps them with curiousity, expressing their feelings, empathy, confidence, building relationsihps, and appropriate behaviors in a group.

A Preschool Program Customized for Your Child

With two teachers and a maximum of 12 students per class, our teachers get to know each student deeply and develop individualized plans that will help them succeed.  The curriculum is designed to stimulate excitement for learning, problem solving and critical thinking skills.  Every day, each child is immersed academic enriched, play-based activities that leave them wanting more, all with the goal of creating a lifelong love of learning.

Our Students Get Head Start on Kindergarten

Our curriculum is specifically designed to exceed the District 25 kindergarten readiness standards.  It uses nationally recognized programs such as Jolly Phonics, IcanReadSongs, Handwriting Without Tears, and One in Christ.

Engaging Weekly Themes

Each week all of our activities revolve around the "Letter of the Week".  For Example, during "Letter F" week we invite the Arlington Height Fire Department to meet the kids and show off their big trucks.  Or, during "Letter V" week, children make a volcano!  Of course during all activities we introduce the letter's shape and sound so the kids become familiar and form a strong foundation for reading.

Flexibility for Families

Half day preschool begins at 9am and ends at 12:30pm, with our full day program ending at 3pm.  We also offer before school and after school care for times when parents need a little extra help.  Parents can have their child attend any number of days a week.  We have some children attending just a couple half days per week, and others attending five full days a week.  We know each family is different and we are flexible.

Indoor and Outdoor Play . . . Everyday!

We are fortunate to have our own gym onsite dedicated to large motor skills.  Here the kids can exercise and put their never-ending energy to good use :-)

Also, each day when the weather cooperates, we spend time outside playing at North School Park.  At 20 just steps from our front door, we are so lucky to have this 1.6 acre park as our dedicated playground.
